Remedial Post 6 - Photography Contest

Earlier this month, a local Herman Miller dealership held a photography contest for Architecture and Design Firms.

The rules:
1) Photograph their Swoop chair in either a nature or city environment.
2) Submit up to 2 photos
3) Photographs must highlight the Swoop chair.

I elected to enter the nature category and hiked the chair up to one of my favorite hiking spots, Millcreek. You get some pretty strange looks when you're going up a trail with a chair on you head.

About a week after I submitted the photos I found out that I won the nature category! Below is the winning image, along with a few others I took that day. The prize for winning is the chair, which is now sitting, happily in my living room.

Remedial Post 5 - Clovis Trip

In July, Josh, Ozzy and I took a road trip, across the desert, to Clovis. Not only had it been several years since we've been to Clovis, it's been 5 years since we've taken this drive. We took a pit stop in Santa Fe, New Mexico and checked out the local shops and galleries and headed on to Clovis.

Remedial Post 4 - Topping of the Steel

In July, the entire project team and user groups for the University of Utah's School of Business new building came together to celebrate the 'Topping of the Steel' for the second and last phase of this project.

This is a momentous event, as the rest of the construction will go quickly once the steel is completed. Most of the project team, myself included, have been working 5+ years on this, making it a bittersweet moment.

Now let's sign that beam & hoist it up!

Remedial Post 3 - Mom & Mark Visit SLC

In June, Mom and Mark came to Salt Lake to visit. While we didn't take a ton of pictures, our hands were full with the kiddos, here are a few from their visit.

Remedial Post 2 - Pennsylvania Trip

In May, Josh, Ozzy and I ventured to Pennsylvania to visit his family. It had been 2 years since we'd been back and the visit was long over due. Below are just a few of the many pictures we took on our trip.
